About Us:Discovering Our Journey of Faith

The church is an assembly of believers united in Christ, who are called out by God for the fulfillment of His purpose. It’s role is to worship God, nurture and edify the believers and reach out to a suffering world with the message of the gospel as well as the practical compassion and mercy exemplified in Christ.

In the early seventies, many people from Kerala and different parts of India reached UAE in search of green pastures. In 1978, a growing community of Malayalee Believers in the island of Abu Dhabi, most of them bachelors, felt the need of a fellowship. These group of people belonged to inter-denominational Pentecostal churches, came together for worship. These fellowship was later called as Abu Dhabi Pentecostal Church (ADPC).

Since then, Pastors of mainstream Pentecostal denominations from India ministered the church over four decades towards achieving God’s purpose in the land of Abu Dhabi.

In the beginning, the church meetings were conducted in the houses of believers but later moved into the premises of St. Andrews Church, Abu Dhabi. In the year 2019, as per the regulations set by the DCD-Abu Dhabi, the church was renamed as “United Pentecostal Assembly” (UPA).

Till today, this church has encouraged all believers to be complete in Christ and be the imitators of Him. The church has regular worship meetings thrice in a week, along with monthly fasting prayers, chain prayer, mission work, children’s worship, youth meetings, counselling, Sunday School etc. for the spiritual upliftment of all elders/youths/children. As in Titus 2:13, the Church waits for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

OUR VISION

At UPA, our Vision is to cultivate a community of authentic believers who ardently pursue a deep knowledge of Christ, discover their unique purpose, and collaboratively create a significant impact in both the local community and the world.

WHAT WE DO

Every day, we strive to embody and enact the teachings and values that form the core of our faith. Through a myriad of initiatives, we reach out to both our congregation and the wider community. From spiritual guidance sessions, community outreach programs, educational workshops, to charity drives, our efforts are geared towards nurturing the spirit and addressing real-world challenges. We believe in the power of unity, and through collective action, we aim to make a difference — be it by comforting a grieving soul, feeding a hungry family, or simply lending a listening ear. Our mission is multifaceted, encompassing spiritual growth, community service, and forging meaningful connections. In all that we do, our goal is clear: to touch lives, spread love, and foster a deeper understanding of faith and its role in personal and community betterment.

Our Community

Our community is the heartbeat of our mission, a diverse tapestry woven together by shared beliefs, experiences, and aspirations. Rooted in a rich history of unity and mutual support, we celebrate the varied backgrounds, cultures, and stories that each member brings to our collective. It is here, within this harmonious blend of souls, that we find strength, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. Our gatherings are more than just congregational meetings; they are reunions of a vast family, bound not just by faith but by a mutual commitment to uplift, serve, and cherish one another. Through shared meals, collaborative projects, outreach endeavors, and heartfelt conversations, we nurture the bonds that make our community a haven of warmth, understanding, and unwavering support. It's not just about worship; it's about life shared, joys celebrated, and challenges faced together. In the heart of our community lies the essence of what we stand for: unity in diversity, love in action, and faith in every endeavor.
